Playlist update – 17 January 2014

It’s Friday! And I need new music!

One song I am loving at the moment is Rudimental ft. Emeli Sande “Free”. Just such a great song which shows that your attention to lyrics can really make or break a track. It is at number 5 this week on the Australian Take 40 charts.

Also from the Aussie charts, something I’m gonna try for the sake of it, London Grammer “Strong”. This is off their debut album which was released last year Feb, ‘Metal and Dust”.  Her voice is amazing, almost a little Florence really. They are in at number 11 (Number 13 in New Zealand).

A lekker one at number 25, “Can we Dance” from The Vamps, just in time for the weekend (Number 19 in New Zealand)!

The only one from the US charts that looks work trying out is the Katy Perry/John Meyer duet “Who you love”. They are in at number 39 this week. It’s interesting that so many celeb couples are doing songs together at the moment (Jay-Z and Beyonce, Avril and Chad). Suppose it’s one more thing you get to regret when the relationship dies. I’m a little disappointed in Katy though. I miss the days that she was kissing girls and fireworks were in the air. She’s trying too hard to convince me she’s awesome at the moment.

Nothing great to report from the UK charts…
